When you drove by the ODM property Saturday night you couldn’t help but turn your wheels and screech into our parking lot….RIGHT?!?!?! Our Fall Festival was bigger and better than ever before!
We had something for all ages! The turn out this year was AMAZING and life groups took each booth to the next level. Tents, Wii’s, smoke and lights were all present in this year’s event as well as some hilarious costumes. We had a little bit of everything in the winner’s circle from tornadoes’….yes, we said tornado (Luke Paramore) to the Morton Salt Girl (Samantha Hollen).
The crowd favorite of the night besides diving into the bake sale table and the hot dog stand was watching 4 of our staff pastors (Pastors Greg, Deana, Aaron, and Eddie) get pied in the face…man that was a SWEET moment! We raised over $550 in the “pie in the face” auction alone!
We were incredibly blessed to have people from all over the community with us that night. Our goal was to create a safe alternative to trick or treating and I believe we did just that!
No kid went away without a year’s supply of candy!
WITN 7 even came out to grab some footage of the event to put on the 11 pm news!
This event in no way would have been possible without Megan Wamer the director of the event. She out did herself AGAIN!
Thank you for being willing to put your volunteer time and effort into making this event a FUN place for parents and kids to come together and have a good time! We would also like to thank our sponsors: Cornerstone Loan Company, State Farm Insurance (Mack Beale’s Office), The Rock, Open Door Ministries Child Development Center. And finally we would like to thank the ODM family for coming out to support the event!
We had so much fun with all of you and we can’t wait to see you NEXT YEAR!!!
