Backpack Outreach

We are so excited about the response you guys have given us on the backpacks we are collecting for the schools this year. 

They are all due this Sunday and we are expecting to give away over 50 backpacks. 

As always Open Door you go above and beyond our expectations.

Worship Team Tryouts

Do you want to be a part of the Open Door Worship Team?

Here is your chance! 

We are holding tryouts September 1st starting at 7pm! 

We are looking for specific things this year. 

We are looking for a lead guitarist and an acoustic guitarist. 

We are also looking for a drummer and a bass player for our youth department. 

We will be taking several singers also at this tryout. 

Lastly, if you play a specialty instrument we want to see what you got! 

We can't take everybody, but we are looking for some particular things to help us out. 

If this is your gifting then sign up at the Information Center and we will see you there!!

Unchanging

Join us this Sunday as Greg Kennedy kicks off a brand new 2-part series called Unchanging and don't miss next week as Eddie Lloyd concludes the series

Our world is changing and the minute we place our trust in something, we find ourselves disappointed. The things we place our hope in leave us hopeless and wanting something more. But in our ever changing world, there is One who never does. 

In this new two part series, Greg Kennedy and Eddie Lloyd will share about God's unchanging faithfulness in the midst of a world that proves to be unfaithful time and time again.

Pastor Deana turns 21

So yesterday was Pastor Deana's birthday! 

She finally turned 21!! 

The staff had a small party for her during our weekly staff meeting. 

Pastor D we love you, and we thank God for impact you have had on all of our lives!!

The Word is Out

So, the word is out!

This past Sunday we made the announcement that we are launching a second service!

Our second service launches on September 13.  Because of the time we're moving our existing service time. Our new services times will be at 9am and at 10:45am.

Hopefully you are as excited as we are about the awesome need for two services.  We believe that it will open up even more doors for us to reach our community with the message of Jesus Christ.

We can't thank you enough for your willingness to partner with us each and every Sunday as you volunteer your time and energy.  None of this would be possible without you.

A Sunday in Review

 

 

Yesterday was an awesome day at Open Door! 

Here are some highlights:

• We continued our series "Center of Attention" and Greg Kennedy brought it as he talked about having faith in the God in us.
• We had the second highest attendance ever at Open Door and it's the middle of Summer!  Which confirms even more, the need for two services.
• We had record attendance in KIDMO and LILK with over 91 people in those departments and, when you add in BABY K, we had over 130 kids here below the age of 11.
• Worship was off the chain as the house sang out on "Tear Down the Walls" and "Fire Fall Down".
• All of our volunteers got a workout yesterday, but they were totally on their A-game!

Yesterday was an awesome day and we are so thankful to all our volunteers who make it possible!!
