... i would soak... go instrumental and just soak.

(not something we should do every week, that's just kinda where i am right now...)

Aaron

I'll go first, this Sunday's list is pretty sick but you'll have to come to find out what it is!!
Here we go!
1. Jesus Paid it All (Classic)
2. This is Life (Miriam rocks this song!!)
3. Healer (Epic, and melts minds)
4. In Your Presence (I just got goose bumps when I thought about it, yes it is that good!!)
There it is, now give us some ideas!!!

Aaron

I like the soaking idea, that's a cool thought!

.

learning to breathe - switchfoot
on fire - switchfoot
love song for a saviour - jars of clay
something beautiful - jars of clay

so many amazing worship songs no one ever sings in church..oh well...odd songs there..but..yeah..
church worship songs seem to become just something you do every sunday..it bugs me.. :/

Amanda Janowski

I would go with.......

1. Rain Down (Delirious)
2. None But Jesus(Hillsong)
3. Pour My Love on You (PCD...not the girls!)
4. Be Near (Shane and Shane)

......then as the Spirit led...ehem....
5. How Sweet the Name (Delirious)

John Turner

King of Majesty
God of this City
Above All Else
Something Laura Woodley

Megan Wamer

1-Shout Unto God- Hillsong
2-One Way- Hillsong- I Heart Revolution
3-Always- Hillsong United
4- All I Need- Rita Springer---This song is SO sweet and personal!

Kate Halsey

Oooo... I like Megan's list! Heck yes! Those are some awesome songs! I second you, Megan!

Shelly Rush

I used to go to your church and I movd away... there was a song that I heard there, personal, none of the listed ones above, and i can not find it anywhere.. could you send me a list of ALL the songs that Aaron and Miriam sing, because they are the ones that sung it when I was there... Thanks! Shelly

Aaron

Shelly,

Thanks for the response!! If you could remember any of the words to the song you like I would be more than happy to send it to you. Thanks for keeping in touch, and hope things are going well!!

Anita Harrison

Days of Elijah
Did You hear the mountains tremble

YO 1st time comment woop woop....

I've always thought the song "I remember" by the band formally known as Grand Prize was awsome. I just saw it on iTunes but its a different version then I remember...I lost my music library in a recent computer change makes me cry
:(....

That whole cd is good for those of you who like a little bit of "Rock" in your life.

I also like some of the older Kutless stuff from their worship album.

So as for the blog answer I don't have 3-4 songs but those are some that I've thought were really good in the past.

Davie

1. He Loves Us
2. The More I Seek You
3. I am Free

Miriam

THE PERFECT SONG SET!
1. Healer (whoe thats a good one)
2. How He Loves (i mean...whoe!)
3. Everlasting God
4. This is Life ( i mean people just get saved when you do this one)
5. Free to Run (LETS ROCK!!)

ps: i think my new favorite song is All I Need ( Its a Rita song)
come see us 11/2 to check it out!

Miriam

Can we just talk about how PHENOMINAL our stage looks in the picture. Whoe buddy the lights are the HOTTNESS!!

Kate

Love the list, Miriam... so when are we doing them? ;-)

Steve Janowski

I think I like songs with the word "yes" in them. I like :

1.We Will Ride ("yes Lord we'll ride with you)
2.Trading My Sorrows ("yes Lord, yes Lord, yes, yes lord)
3.Yes You Have by Leeland ("you have stolen my heart - yes You have)

Declarations to the Lord that I am willing, ready and available help position me to press thru the junk for that day.

Nikki

Love Amanda's song list! Delirious' worship is awesome.

Have I heard of the song, Praise the Father Praise the Son, listed by Anita? Help me out here!

Portia O'Pharrow

I think we need to be more diverse and sing some of our black christian artists songs, ex: Michele Mullen, BeBe Winan, Yolanda Adams, Israel Holston

Was just reading this older thread. Don't know if this will bump it up or not. I love the soaking idea. I once typed charismatic movements in a search engine a few years back. I found a site that spoke of a movement (I believe Sweeden) where they just began by singing out praises, then singing spoken blessings and words of encouragement over the congregation. Like, "I speak health to you!" "I speak peace to you!" "I speak sound minds, boldness, and freedom!" and so on. The result was a massive wave of the Spirit and people being healed and set free. Similar to soaking, but boldly directive and more intense. I have yet to locate the site again. It was maybe 5 or 6 years ago. There is so much power in what we speak over each other, even more so when directed by Holy Spirit.

Aaron

Great Idea Jim, really enjoyed your post! That would be awesome to be a part of that!!!
